$21.02 per hour. Must be within 25 miles of Mays Landing facility

Position Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

The warehouse worker in Mays Landing, NJ will maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse, prepare products for shipment, receive and stock product, and assist the Operations Supervisor in other operations functions.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Essential Functions

  • Keep the warehouse neat and clean, arranging all products in a neat and orderly fashion and maintaining product in prime saleable condition.
  • Check all safety aspects of the warehouse, including fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, personal safety equipment, fire hoses, fire doors, cool room temperatures, etc. to ensure it is being properly maintained and is safe to use.
  • Be proficient using a forklift, manual pallet jack and drum dolly to move pallets, drums, boxes or rolls of material
  • Pull and prepare orders or sample requests for shipment and loading by placing drums, rolls or boxes of material on pallet and securing to pallet (pallet weights up to 2000 pounds); loading and unloading trucks using a forklift and/or by hand (lifting up to 100 pounds); and/or using a drum dolly to move drums (drum weights up to 550 pounds).
  • Receive and stock inventory, reconciling all incoming product with its corresponding paperwork to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist the Operations Supervisor in confirming that all orders shipped are complete and correct.
  • Handle all UPS, FedEx or common carrier shipments, including completing and submitting all forms required by law and company policy in a timely and neat manner, follow up and processing claims
  • Maintain and process weekly freight log.
  • Request freight rates from carriers for any common carrier shipments to negotiate best price and discounts.
  • Maintain good working relationships with local carriers.
  • Load and unload empty drums for disposal.
  • Inform the Operations Supervisor of inventory shortages, out of stock material, or material reaching re-order points.
  • Assist the Operations Supervisor with monthly physical inventories and reconciling all inventory variances.
  • Fill in for customer service representative while on vacation or while out of the office for any reason by helping answer telephones, take customer orders, and entering on Adage
