TEAM AND SCOPE

As an HR Controller, you will work closely with department leaders to guide strategic decision making by providing financial strength and controls for the Perfumes & Cosmetics business. You will help manage HR Financial Planning & Analysis initiatives primarily focused on budgeting and forecasting of staff costs, for seven companies and all cost centers across North America. This role will help build out financial plans and provide actionable insights to our key stakeholders, via informed decision-making, using people data to support short and long-term growth of the business. Partnering directly with finance and accounting leaders, you will execute strategic financial goals to forecast annual staff costs as well as to analyze monthly variances against actual expenses.


As an influential partner to all employees and functions within Human Resources you will assist in developing integrated solutions in areas such as but not limited to recruitment, on & off-boarding, mobility, performance management, HR operations & technology, and skill development training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

HR FP&A:

  • Partner with department leaders on financial feasibility and staffing resources, to ensure expense control, discipline, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team with regards to compensation proposals, i.e. internal and external compensation analysis.
  • Provide financial leadership across seven brands as related to headcount planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Influence business partners and build strong partnerships by identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Advise finance leaders on opportunities and risks as related to employee staff costs.
  • Prepare headcount report and bi-annual forecast revisions, partnering with Finance team to ensure data is in alignment with P&L.
  • Bridge forecasts and budgets versus actual P&L expenses.
  • Oversee monthly headcount reports, staffing turnover and analysis, key reporting packages for HR.

HR Operations & Project Management:

  • Monitor key performance indicators highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variance.
  • Provide management with data, reports, analyses and projections such as but not limited Annual Social Reports, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Costs, and HR demographic data analysis. We are managers of people data.
  • Maintain, update and report employee information and statistics.
  • Liase with Payroll and HRIS for data changes within Ultipro Pay System.
  • Assist in the development of HR projects and programs.
  • Empower HR Business Partners with workforce data.
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies.

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Proven success in transforming data into actionable, insightful dashboards, reports, and recommendations.
  • Financial controlling, accounting, and or experience related to Corporate FP&A/G&A Finance
  • Workforce/Headcount planning experience could be a plus
