Veterinary Technician Job at Madison Animal Hospital
Madison Animal Hospital is looking for a motivated Veterinary Technician. Veterinary/animal care experience is preferred, but not required.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all pets in the hospital and report any concerns.
- Assisting the doctor in all aspects of treatment, medication administration, vaccines and diagnostic testing. Perform these functions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Able to communicate with clients with professionalism and compassion, provide client updates and answer questions. Knowledge of common medications, heartworm and flea/tick prevention in order to educate clients..
- Maintain accurate and complete records.
Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate and work closely with clients, staff and doctor.
- Able to remain focused and professional in a fast paced environment, and in stressful situations.
- Must provide a high standard of care and be able to follow through with all assigned tasks.
- Computer skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be available Monday through Friday, between 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, and occasional availability outside of regular hours, as week as occasional weekends.
