You will be the first person and the last a guest interacts with. So New Canaan Valet parking attendants must maintain a positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times. You must love what you do, and for this, you will be paid very well.


New Canaan Valet parking attendants must think safety first. Everything you do should be mindful of safety. Customer Service and Safety will be your two main priorities.


New Canaan Valet parking attendants are responsible for providing a superior and exceptional experience for every client and customer we service. This includes both the customers who choose to use the valet parking service, and those who do not. Be kind, and stay happy, smile a lot.


New Canaan Valet parking attendants must anticipate the needs of each customer who arrive and look to exceed their expectations in every interaction. Open doors, have an umbrella ready, carry packages, whatever it takes.


Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Arrive early or on time for your shift
  • Welcome each customer with a smile and a warm greeting
  • Open all car doors, venue doors, hold umbrellas, and offer information, direction, and assistance to handicapped and elderly customers
  • Safely perform valet parking services and operate customers vehicles in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and in accordance with United's policies
  • Handle cash, valet tickets, keys, company mobile technology, and equipment with honesty, professionalism, respect, and care, in accordance with New Canaan Valet policies
  • Maintain a professional appearance, language, demeanor, and behavior
  • Adhere to all of the policies, procedures, guidelines, and rules outlined in the handbook
  • Be willing to perform other related duties, as requested, such as equipment set-up and break down, and grounds clean.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the criteria of our insurance carrier
  • Must be able to get in and out of cars easily and move quickly

Skills Required:

  • Must demonstrate strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous manner at all times
  • Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Must be able to run or stand for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather condition.
  • Must agree to allow New Canaan Valet to do a background check, to run a Motor Vehicle Report, and be willing to take a drug screening test.

Staff Focus


All valets must have had and maintain excellent driving records and undergo a company policy training program attend a safe driving practices training program. All members of the management staff are valet parking attendants. Valet attendants do much more than move cars. They create first impressions and deliver our customers vehicles back to them as we received them.
