Overview
Deutsche Bank AG Group Tax Americas , Tax Advisory Services is seeking an ambitious and motivated tax professional with experience in U.S. federal and cross-border tax matters who exudes a roll-up-the sleeves attitude. You will be hired at the Director level, and your total compensation (base salary and incentive compensation) will be competitive and based upon experience. Our work ranges from advising on the tax consequences of transactions, ensuring compliance with local tax obligations, producing tax data for financial and other reporting purposes, assisting with tax audits and disputes, to working with industry groups and governmental agencies on the development of legislation and practice. In this role, you will work on diverse branch and corporate tax issues pertinent to financial institutions, as well as product development and review. You’ll also work in all phases of projects & transactions including development, analytics, documentation, drafting and execution.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate US federal and international tax issues and opportunities presented by complex business products and transactions
Participate in planning and analysis, primarily in capital markets and financial products, including international tax planning with an emphasis on inbound investments (e.g., derivatives, hybrid capital, financing, and fund products)
Manage and assist in tax planning opportunities (development and implementation) optimizing after-tax returns
Assist Tax Accounting, Compliance and Controversy teams
Interface and manage external tax resources
Engage with industry peers and policymakers through industry forums
Your Skills and Experience:
E xperience with Investment Banking, In-house Investment Banking, or a combination of both
Exhibit strong research skills
Understanding of complex legal principles clearly and concisely
Ability to successfully manage multiple matters and meet deadlines within a changing, fast-paced environment
Understanding of tax accounting rules, effective tax rate and deferred tax concepts
How You’ll Lead:
Assist in the development and approval of internal initiatives and projects, engage with members of the front office as well as other Group Tax members in reporting, compliance, and members of the management team
Work as a business partner and interface with members of responsible business units and their finance staff
Collaborate and consult with team, working well both independently and in a team environment
Expectations
The salary range for this position in New York City is $200,000 to $300,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration
