Position Summary: Our surgical team is a looking for a part-time surgery scheduler. We are wanting someone who is friendly, reliable, hard-working, and who is pleasant with patients. Experience in a medical office setting is strongly preferred. Applicants should have great people skills, be service-oriented, and must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and work well under pressure.

Essential Job Functions: Responsible for scheduling surgical patients. Answering patient phone calls and answering questions pertaining to their surgical appointments. Relaying pre and post operation information to patients. Performing prior authorizations for surgical appointments. Sending referral letters to referring physicians. Completing tasks for surgical team, such as returning patient calls, assisting with entering patient chart information, and any other necessary duties to maintain smooth workflow. Be present and punctual to all shifts.

Qualifications:

• Great customer service skills
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Phone experience Previous medical office receptionist experience preferred but not required
• Prior Authorization experience preferred but not required
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to multi-task
• Responds promptly to the needs of others and looks for ways to help and serve.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing day to day tasks.

Hours: Monday-Friday, working 4-5 hour shifts. Approximately 20 hours a week
