City Experiences is seeking a Staff Accountant for our Seaward Service operation in New Albany, IN

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The Staff Accountant performs day-to-day financial functions of the company under the direction of the Controller.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: ·

• General accounting duties and assistance with month-end closing processes
• Cash receipts inputs and reconciliations
• Accounts receivable, billing and reconciliation
• Reconciling, coding and accounts payable system input
• Various general ledger reconciliations as assigned
• Tracking, updating and maintaining government funding by project
• Compiling supporting documentation to submit with government billing
• Support project management across all projects
• Additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or Finance, or equivalent professional experience
• CPA Candidate preferred but not required
• Highly detail oriented and attentive
• Must have excellent research skills
• Must have excellent critical thinking skills
• Knowledgeable of federal government contracts preferred but not required
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred but not required
• Familiarity or experience with DCAA and DCMA audits and regulations preferred but not required
• Familiarity or experience with FAR and DFAR regulations preferred but not required
• MS Excel and MS Office experience required
• Previous use of accounting software preferred (i.e. Quick Books, Great Plains, Sage, Oracle etc.)
• Good written, verbal and mathematical skills
• Working in a team environment
• Position requires a person with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• At least 1-3 years of experience in similar, fast-paced role preferred, but not required
