The Harbor Freight Tools Store Operations Team is a team of business operators responsible for working cross-functionally across all business functions to support and plan daily store operations as well as support bringing new initiatives and process improvements to life across 1300+ retail stores. The Store Operations Specialist implements processes and initiatives within the retail organization through clear and timely communications, problem-solving, and a focus on proactively finding solutions to enable store execution. The Store Operations Specialist is a responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly customer-focused liaison between the store teams and cross-functional partners that drives quality service for stores.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally to implement new processes, initiatives, and store solutions
  • Follow project plans to drive results and establish feedback loops to measure the success of the implementation process
  • Oversee workload scheduling and act as a gatekeeper responsible for evaluating capacity, sequence, and optimal timing for store and field implementations
  • Work cross functional with the Store Environment team to ensure planograms can be seamlessly executed in stores
  • Eliminate planograms errors by ensuring each has all the needed elements
  • Facilitate effective communication between corporate, stores, and Field Leadership, acting as a Subject Matter Expert on all field and store operations and a champion of stores.
  • Act as a representative of stores in cross-functional interactions.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across corporate departments, Field Leadership, and stores.

Requirements

Education/Experience (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in business or operations preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate retail environment required; additional retail field experience preferred,
  • Experience with project implementation in a corporate environment and knowledge of retail operational process are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements
General office environment requiring ability to:
  • stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time; lift up to 15lbs
  • speak and listen to others in person and over the phone
  • use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports
The anticipated salary range for this position is $61,000 – $91,600 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 136 hours per year, including 16 hours of Floating Holidays and paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law. The Company observes 12.5 paid holidays.
