Lighting Maintenance, Inc., a leader in the lighting and electrical industries, seeks a self-motivated, safe, and positive individual for an immediate opening as a Site Utility Worker in our Harmans, Maryland location. This position will support and assist a Drill Crew on multiple jobs throughout the Maryland, Virginia, and DC areas. You must have physical strength, and endurance and work well with your hands. Working in collaboration with others and following instructions and safety rules are important.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• MUST have a current Class A Interstate CDL
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to operate earth-moving equipment (Excavators, Skid Loaders, Vacuum Excavators, Hydraulic Trailers, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Experience hauling, binding, loading, and unloading equipment
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
• Ability to work 10+ hours per day

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for transporting equipment to and from job sites
• Test pitting utilities using vacuum excavators, excavators, and manual tools such as shovels, digging bars, etc.
• Loading conduit on and off of conduit trailers
• Filling water tanks, connecting water hoses, and mixing drilling compounds as required
• Fuel Equipment
• Use power tools to cut and attach conduit to equipment
• Ground restoration and pavement or concrete cleaning (requires the use of rakes, brooms, etc.)
• Setting electrical junction boxes or utility holes
• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures
• Locates underground services, such as pipes and wires, prior to beginning work
• Performs equipment safety and maintenance checks
