Shop Coordinator Job at Corcoran Glass & Paint Inc
SUMMARY
As a Glass Shop Coordinator for Corcoran Glass & Paint Inc. you will be responsible organizing and coordinating materials and the delivery and/or pick up or of materials to field workers and job sites on a daily basis. This position is also largely responsible for the ordering of necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
- Load and unload materials, tools, and other equipment on and off of trucks
- Make deliveries and coordinate delivery schedules to and from job sites
- Handle paperwork and sort incoming deliveries from UPS, FedEx, and USPS
- Coordinate and monitor vehicle and trailer usage
- Order tools, equipment, and other necessary materials as needed
- Monitor levels of inventory for stock items
- Maintain clean work vehicles
- Maintain a clean, organized and presentable equipment room and shop
- Strategically work with vendors to find the best pricing
- Outfit new hires with necessary tools and equipment
- Make sure all (necessary) unused materials that are returnable get returned to the distributor
- Work closely with safety manager and company mechanic to make sure the necessary company vehicles meet DOT standards and are used properly in terms of weight requirements, interstate use, and more.
- Other duties as required
Experience & skills Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Strong attention to detail
- Must exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Flexibility in work schedule
