SUMMARY: Assists guests in making menu and beverage selections, places orders to bar and kitchen, trays and serves food and beverages to guests, may assist with seating of guests, clears tables, assists guests in any manner possible, helps maintain a clean dining and service area, performs other routine duties as directed by supervision.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Ø Report to work on time and in complete uniform.

Ø Do backups as needed before you go on the floor.

Ø Wait on tables assigned to you by the hostess.

Ø Pre-buss your tables during service remove any unnecessary items from table when they are no longer used.

Ø Keep server station and micros areas free from trays, menus, and dishes. Pick up any paper or food on the floor, run Bissell when necessary.

Ø Assist in the daily cleaning, dusting, and window washing.

Ø Assist the hostess with seating duties as necessary.

Ø Keep kitchen line, salad area, and storage area clean at all times.

Ø Assist other servers with pre-bussing, and table service.

Ø Continually re-stock, including coffee, tea, soup and cold well items, garnish, and lemons throughout the day.

Ø Keep your section clean and stocked.

Ø Up-sell whenever possible, the daily specials or beer and wine specials.

Ø Do the ending shift cleaning and stocking assigned to you.

Ø Assist in the daily operations of the restaurant as needed, follow directions of the manager on duty.

Ø Must be TAM certified and follow all TAM regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Walks and stands during entire shift. Continuously reaching, bending, lifting, stooping, carrying, and wiping. May carry materials weighing up to 40 lbs.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Must be able to read, write and communicate in English, follow written and verbal instructions, work rapidly and efficiently during rush periods and still remain calm, able to add and subtract, make change, 18 years of age or older, excellent communications skills, multi-tasked oriented, suggestive sell food and beverage items and knowledge of safety procedures.
