Vivodyne, Inc. — Senior/Staff Software Engineer, DevOps/Data (Remote)

The Position

DevOps team designs and oversees the infrastructure that supports the smooth operation of our rapidly growing cloud-based, big data/AI organization. This infrastructure is the foundation of computing at Vivodyne and it must be secure, reliable, scalable and cost-effective.

As the leader of the DevOps/Data Engineering team, you will be designing, implementing and deploying cloud infrastructure, such as managed databases, application servers and batch computing environments. You will be designing and implementing the data flow – data storage, databases and associated APIs. You will collaborate with other software engineering teams to optimize the performance of scientific workflows.

About You

• Experience in delivering a cloud based, well-architected many-account organization
• Experience with orchestration, distributed and high-performance computing
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform
• Expert ability with GitOps tools
• Experience with container-based platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to translate broadly defined requirements into detailed, comprehensive solutions

Nice to Have

• MLOps experience (model deployment, logging, versioning; data versioning, traceability)
• Experience with managing large-sized datasets (100TB+) in cloud storage systems like S3
• Experience with microscopy and biological datasets
• Experience with 3D spatial databases

Compensation

Vivodyne will offer a highly attractive compensation package that will include base salary performance- based bonus, and equity. Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage. Open vacation policy.

Vivodyne’s goal is to antiquate the ineffectiveness, inefficiency, and unpredictability of animal-based testing by allowing new drugs to be tested directly on lifelike human tissues, before clinical trials, at unprecedented scale.
