Linkages to Learning is a comprehensive, school-based prevention and intervention program providing a continuum of health, social, and community services to children and their families directly in the school setting. Located in elementary and middle schools in Montgomery County, Maryland, we help families secure needed resources and navigate the complexities of the behavioral health and social service systems.

Summary: This position works under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services and the Linkages to Learning (LTL) Program Director. The School Mental Health Therapist provides clinical services to assigned clients within his or her assigned school-based office or in the school building. Services may include clinical assessments; treatment planning; individual, family, play and group psychotherapy/counseling; crisis intervention; consultation to teachers, administrators, and other school personnel; maintenance of medical records and documentation; and development of summer or after school therapeutic programing. The School Mental Health Therapist attends all required meetings as well as in-service education for LTL and Family Services, Inc.

Work Schedule: The School Mental Health Therapist will work within the hours that school is in session but will also be able to flex their schedule to accommodate the schedules of parents to facilitate family therapy and parent education.

Requirements:

• Must possess any one of the following licenses, in good standing, by time of hire and throughout tenure in position in the State of Maryland:
• Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C);
• Licensed Certified Professional Counselor (LCPC);
• Licensed Psychologist;
• Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW);
• Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)
