FIRST DISCOVERY, a leading provider of Summer Camp programs, is seeking responsible, energetic and dynamic teachers to teach Summer Camps! FIRST DISCOVERY provides the curriculum including the materials and supplies to teach the programs. This is a great position for education students, graduate students, retired teachers, teachers looking to earn extra money over the summer.
Schedule:
Beginnning June, Monday through Friday
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and fun instruction to students using curriculum we provide to you
- Supervise students and ensure student safety and well-being
- Send written recap emails to families summarizing the class after each lesson
- An ideal teacher should possess the following qualifications:
- Energetic, upbeat and personal demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable, prompt and an excellent work ethic
- Loves working with children
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to work with up to 20 students, depending on the ages
- Organization skills and the ability to complete administrative tasks and follow lesson plans
- Skills and flexibility to work with a variety of students, schools and curriculums
- Two or more years of experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Interested teachers should submit their resume to Chris Freeman, Recruiting and Teacher Coordinator. Teachers will be expected to complete necessary screening and background checks.
Must be an outstanding communicator and rapport-builder with parents. EXCELLENT wage and benefits! Salary is based on experience and education in Early Childhood. Health and Dental insurance offered with Full- time employment.
