Sorensen Media Group (SMG), a privately-held media and entertainment company in the Mariana Islands with holdings in television, radio, and internet broadcasting, is looking for a Media Consultant to join our team at Broadcast Centre Acanta Mall located in Tumon.

Radio stations include Power 98 FM, Newstalk K57 AM, 105 Kat FM, and The Shark Marianas.
Television stations include ABC7 and Fox6 on Guam and Saipan.
Radio and nightly television news are provided to each station and the internet by our news organization The Pacific News Center Guam (PNC).
We provide audio, video, and digital production and marketing services across social media platforms for our clients.

Position:
SMG's Media Sales Manager will be tasked with managing, developing and guiding our growing team of Account Executives across all platforms of our offerings. They will be responsible for developing sales goals, strategies and processes to help our Account Executives meet and exceed sales expectations.

In addition to exploring unique paths to procure business, the Media Sales Manager will be expected to help Account Executives meet monthly and quarterly targets, assisting with servicing, negotiating and growing revenue through a list of agency businesses via identifying and prospecting new businesses at a high level of entry. This includes communication with the C-suite executive level at both the corporation and advertising agency sectors. This position requires an individual with a keen ability to develop concepts to create, incrementally grow, and maintain sales revenue by connecting a corporation’s marketing goals seamlessly with the entire portfolio of Sorensen Media Group content production and distribution platforms. The position will have a base salary and a structured paid commission rate on contracts collected.

The Media Sales Manager will have a propensity for learning and maintaining company standards, in carrying out assigned responsibilities with passion, diligence, and integrity.

Responsibilities

Manages Account Executives with the goal of meeting/exceeding station revenue, prospecting and new business targets.
Oversees advertising sales activities; is accountable for achieving/ exceeding targeted advertising sales revenues for the market and for controlling sales expenses.
Drives results through others, manages team performance and holds the team accountable against performance.
Translates market and station business strategies into specific actions to generate sales and revenue.
Works with the Sales team to generate new business and build upon current relationships with clients.
Sets sales goals and guides subsequent goal-setting processes
Meets with key accounts.
Must work with Operations team to successfully execute promotions and events
Recruits, hires and ensures ongoing training and development of Account Executives.
Goes on sales calls and conducts in-field coaching to develop Account Executives.
May review and adjust product mix targets and assigned call lists.
Qualifications

Strong understanding of broadcasting, marketing, promotion, and collection standards
Proven ability to grow new business and find new revenue opportunities
Excellent leadership and coaching ability; can successfully coach others in sales practices
Deep understanding of local markets, customers, and competitors in order to target needs and drive sales
Can create productive, long-term customer relationships.
Adept as self-starter
Excellent ability to organize, prioritize, and multi task
Can push self and others to achieve and excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Excellent business and people decision-making skills
Can model positive energy and handle stress in the face of challenges, deadlines and financial pressures

Work Experience

3+ years’ experience as an Account Executive or Sales Manager in media industry (or other Business to Business) with proven track record of success
