Summary:
YMT Vacations is seeking passionate and driven sales professionals to add to our team of travel experts in a consultative environment. This position will nurture leads through the sales process and support guests until departure.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Remain available in contact center queues to answer calls from new and existing customers; enter leads into personal sales funnel to nurture towards conversion
- Work to actively resolve caller's needs by using proven product knowledge and sales expertise to facilitate the purchase of packages
- Create opportunities to provide value for clients through upselling airfare, optional tours, and insurance policies
- Assist clients with questions and/or changes to active reservations, research required information using available resources
- Take appropriate steps to meet monthly sales goals; consistently achieve and/or exceed daily KPI’s (lead entry rate, follow-up rate, e-mail pick up rate, daily call quota)
- Document call notes and call reports as necessary in booking system
- Other duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous sales experience in the travel industry with a background in customer service and/or sales teams, preferably in a call center setting
- High level of written and verbal communication skills, and time management skills required
- Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office products preferred
- Knowledge of airline reservation GDS systems desired (Amadeus preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as a team. Collaborative nature with the ability to interact with a variety of staff from all teams
- Availability for hours aligned with Pacific Time Zone
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities while working to meet immediate deadlines
