Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) OR Scrub

Job Summary:

We are seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) OR Scrub to join our healthcare team in Peoria, IL. The RN OR Scrub will be responsible for assisting the surgeon during the surgical procedure by providing necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring sterile areas and equipment, and monitoring the patient's condition during the surgical procedure. The successful candidate will possess knowledge and expertise in surgical procedures, patient care, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide direct assistance to the surgeon during the surgical procedure
• Ensure timely and proper arrangement of instruments and supplies for the surgery
• Monitor the patient's vital signs during the surgical procedure
• Maintain a sterile environment before, during, and after the surgery
• Assist with the positioning of the patient for the surgery and provide post-operative care
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, including the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other members of the team to ensure proper patient care
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures regarding patient care, documentation, and safety guidelines

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Nursing, or equivalent education
• Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse OR Scrub in the state of IL
• 1+ years of experience in surgical procedures
• Knowledge of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and patient care practices
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a team
