Registered Nurse (RN) - ideal for New Graduate Job at Birmingham Direct Primary Care

This position is for a Registered Nurse for a well respected primary care clinic in the edgewood district of Homewood. This is a great opportunity for a newly graduating RN. However, being newly graduating isn't a requirement.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- triaging calls and communications of existing patients
- taking vitals and obtaining patient history
- drawing blood
- administering ordered injections
- administering IV therapy
- helping with refills, prior authorizations
- helping with referrals to specialists and orders to imaging centers
- setting patient appointments
- making calls to existing patients as requested by the physician
- maintaining medicine and supply inventory
- chaperone to assist the physician with procedures as required for sensitive procedures.

- answering phone calls of prospective patients promptly and helping answer their questions about the clinic
- educating prospective patients who call on the offerings of our programs (primary care, hormone replacement, weight loss, aesthetics).
- helping prospective patients who call with enrolling on our clinic.
We see a much lower volume of patients in our membership based clinic which uses the direct primary care model and doesn't bill insurance. Therefore there is a wider range of responsibilities for the prospective teammate. The ideal candidate would be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and be able to learn a new EMR and become proficient in it.
We're looking for someone who has the drive to help with everything around the clinic. They would have the self initiative to seek out opportunities to enroll new patients to help with the growth of the clinic as well as help provide excellent care to our current patients. Having a strong work ethic is important There are a lot of learning opportunities as the hired team member will work directly with the physician.
At this time, the coverage needed is for 8:00am-4:45pm Monday-Thursday. In the future there would be a possibility of an option for for Friday morning coverage as we continue to grow.
