General Description of Position:
This position will report to the Certification Center Manager. The Workforce Certification and Assessment Assistant will assist with day to day operations of certification and testing services.
Major Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for the administration and documentation of certifications/assessments and will work closely with the Testing Services Manager to maintain currency (certified proctor) in skills and procedures.
- Provide general college information about services.
- Administer certification and academic exams through the Center.
- Schedule appointments for exams including determining candidate eligibility and exam availability.
- Assist in the keeping of records for all certifications conducted in the Center.
- Maintain proper documentation of test results and other records.
- Participate in training as necessary to stay abreast of appropriate technical areas
- Hand or computer score certification exams.
- Learn software/hardware needed to administer the various certifications/assessments, schedule appointments, document results and support the efforts of the Assessment Center according to established protocol.
- Participate in vendor mandatory training and complete proctor exams as determined by vendor contracts.
- Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.
- Conduct all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Proctor off site assessments and certifications at high schools, other regional sites and/or companies as needed.
- Assist with maintaining voucher inventory and document voucher usage.
- Proctor certification exams with little to no assistance from supervisor.
- Communicate with certification vendors and instructors with regards to technical issues or testing irregularities.
- Manage the day to day workings of the center in the absence of full-time employees.

- A working knowledge of computers is essential.
- Must exhibit excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, confidentiality, and customer service skills.
- Job requires flexibility and the ability to multitask.
- Willingness and patience to answer questions from fellow proctors and to assist in launching and concluding exams.
- Constant sitting, standing and walking within the office area.
- Infrequent lifting and bending.
- Requires the ability to interpret and understand complex assessment instructions, to use problem solving techniques as they arise and to reason to make decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and two years Assessment Center experience required.

Work Hours:
- Varies, maximum of 23 per week.
- Occasional evenings and Saturdays required.
- Scheduling flexibility is a must
Hiring Range:
$15/hour
