We are currently seeking Project Coordinators to join our growing team of diverse talent. Opportunity for a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to advance with an established Heavy Civil Contractor. We have an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator with a background in Heavy Civil Construction or Construction Management. Applicants without a traditional four-year college degree, but with equal experience in the industry encouraged to apply.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsibilities will include assisting Project Management Department with keeping administrative issues ahead of project progress. Coordinate with Owners and Engineers to successfully complete projects on-time and under budget. Provide updated information to superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors as necessary. Carefully read and review contract documents, plans, and specifications prior to project startup. Create, update, and maintain construction schedules and short interval schedules. Maintain and organize field documents and daily project paperwork. Review all required shop drawings, mix designs, and related documents. Follow up and initiate as needed with people inside and outside the company to keep progress moving forward. Aggressively pursue and resolve project concerns as they arise. Attend weekly progress meetings as necessary and follow up on issues until resolved. Closely monitor all project cost and highlight areas of concern. Prepare pay estimates reflecting payment for all completed work. Verify actual quantities installed with field personnel. Review vendor and subcontractor invoices ensuring accuracy to purchase orders and subcontract agreements. Maintain close contact and a good working relationship with project owners and engineers to ensure a positive company image within the industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively keep administrative issues ahead of project progress
- Aggressively pursue and resolve all project concerns as they arise
- Maintain on a weekly basis all lookahead schedules for assigned projects
- Create and maintain all critical path schedules for your assigned projects
- Submit payment applications by the 25thof each month to Owner/Engineer
- Coordinate as needed to complete projects under budget and ahead of schedule
- Carefully review plans and specifications prior to project startup and during construction
- Prepare subcontract agreements and purchase orders for review by project manager
- Review invoices ensuring accuracy to purchase orders and subcontract agreements
- Closely monitor project budgets to keep costs down and highlight areas of concern
- Prepare shop drawing submittals and draft requests for information as necessary
- Prepare change order claims and gather related documents for review by project manager
- Provide updated contract information to Superintendents, Vendors, and Subcontractors
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma (Minimum)
- No Traditional Four-Year Degree Required
- Must Have Equal Years of Experience in Construction
- Must Be Able To Following Instructions From Supervisor
- Requires a Sense of Urgency and the Ability to Multi-Task
- Attention to Detail and Precise Accuracy are Essential Skills
- Independently Manage Highly Productive Work Schedule
- Outstanding Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Efficient with Time Sensitive Schedules & Resources
- Hardworking, Independent, Self-Motivated Individuals Welcome
- Experience with iPad/iPhone, Microsoft Office, and Social-Media
- Proficiency in Documentation and Organizational Skills
- Bilingual English-Spanish Verbal and Written is preferred
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Driver’s License (mandatory)
