Our Kentucky division, located in Mount Sterling, KY, seeks a Supervisor / Team Leader for 1st. Shift

Summary:

Supervisors are focused on day-to-day operations of 'how' to implement management's decisions in their department through the work of their subordinates and the assistance & support from other departments.

As a Production Department Supervisor / Team Leader you will be leading, supervising, assisting and training a team of setup operators and machine operators on the shop floor to assure that the daily shift plan for each work center / operation are successfully executed and that the daily key targets are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adjust the daily manpower tasks/work schedule for each work center / operation to meet target production demand
• Have a complete understanding of all safety, quality, productivity, maintenance, 5S & training standards and requirements and monitor performance against targets.
• Have a solid understanding of company policies and monitor compliance by your team members.
• Analyze daily performance of each work center / operation and team member by reviewing performance reports from your previous shift.
• Address any gaps in performance with the appropriate production support team members and the setup operators and follow through with the appropriate corrective actions as needed.
• Focus on results to deliver success as measured by our key performance metrics. You will be modeling and practicing behaviors which will enhance a positive work place culture and motivate all team members to strive doing their best.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's s degree in related field (Associate's degree, High School Diploma or GED + experience)
• 3 year’s supervisory experience in Manufacturing
• Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with manufacturing software systems (Plex or other)
• Continuous improvement training such as Six Sigma, Kaizen
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge and strong background in material flow and bottleneck removal
• Working Knowledge of IATF system
• Working Knowledge of ISO 14001
• Demonstrated successful ability to lead people and get results through others
• Successful experience in employee training and development including that of peers and subordinates
• Experience with measurement of performance to goals and standards
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
