Clatskanie is looking to add a PM Tech to their maintenance team. Preventative Maintenance Technicians are responsible for sawmill machine maintenance, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance and oiling.

This is a swing shift position, Shift: Wed-Sat 2p-12:30am . This is the first step into a career in maintenance.

Responsibilities:

 Daily lubing of machinery

 Maintaining the correct oil levels in all plant hydraulic units

 Sustaining lubricant supply in the mill

 Cleaning and maintaining compressor room

 Assisting Millwrights on equipment repairs

 Follow directions and effectively communicate with all levels of plant personnel

Qualifications:

 Minimum 3-months experience or experience in a production plant setting

 High school diploma or equivalent

 Must possess a basic understanding of equipment and oiling required for equipment.

 Ideal candidate will have the aptitude for learning mechanical skills (hydraulic, pneumatic).

 Proven ability to follow direction well and demonstrates thoroughness in completing oiling responsibilities.

 Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand up to 10 hours a day, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop and bend at waist, and move equipment as needed throughout a 10 hour shift

 Must be comfortable in year round outdoor temperatures, loud conditions, with airborne particles (sawdust), and working around moving mechanical equipment

 Satisfactory safety record
