The Portfolio Manager, Consumer Lending ensures the overall health, growth, and stability of the consumer loan portfolio through data analytics and trend analysis.

Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:

Job Duties:

  • Manage the activity, trends, behaviors, and opportunities that reside within the consumer loan portfolio and the corresponding membership as a whole
  • Conduct portfolio analysis, develop and deploy timely re-engagement and cross pollination strategies, and mitigate against turnover driven financial losses
  • Work collaboratively with all partners to develop engagement/cross sell/offer strategies that grow the portfolio while delivering expected product and portfolio level ROA
  • Determine demand for products and services within the portfolio population prior to disengagement, and work with the Acquisitions Manager and cross functional partners to develop and deploy re-engagement strategies
  • Advise acquisitions, portfolio risk, and Consumer Lending leaders on appropriate parameters for population targeting and portfolio mix in order to drive ROA and growth
  • Advise pricing strategists, analysts, and the Director, on longitudinal effects derivative of pricing strategies and market conditions which may be constraining portfolio performance
  • Draft memos and status reports for appropriate business units and partners relative to portfolio trends, risks, behaviors, and profitability
  • Compile, analyze and present portfolio metrics and identify key ways to optimize results
  • Analyze market conditions to identify new business opportunities, products and strategies

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with portfolio management including analyzing portfolio performance and action management to maximize profitability, growth, and cross sell opportunities
  • Some experience modeling customer level profitability as well as product level profitability
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to autonomously resolve complex issues
  • Ability to deliver effective stakeholder presentations to both peer and executive level audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically
  • Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
  • Ability to foster strong internal and external business relationships
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending regulations
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business Administration or other related fields of study)

Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)

Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $70,000 to $80,000 annually + annual bonus
