The purpose of this position is to provide personal care services in support of the client’s health and safety in his or her home under the direction of a registered nurse responsible for the supervision of personal care services.

Requirements:

• Valid certification in good standing from the Virginia State Board of Health Professions or completion of 40 hours of appropriate training and valid certification within 120 days.
• Preferred educational background is a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred one year facility experience in long term care.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to residents following state and federal regulations, policies and procedures.
• Report resident’s needs and concerns to the nurse manager
• Must be able to complete physical tasks such as walking and standing for periods of time, reaching, carrying, pushing, and pulling.

Compensation:

• Starting base wage is $13.25 per hour with additional experience scale. Shift differential Weekends (Saturdays Sundays and holidays) $0.75 per hour. Shift differential weekday evenings after 5:00pm $0.50 per hour.
