MUST HAVE PAYCOM EXPERIENCE - The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the processing and timely delivery of assigned payrolls. Works with employees regarding Leisure World’s benefits package, including group health insurance benefits, life insurance, voluntary benefits, the 401(k)-retirement plan, paid sick and vacation leave,and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Essential Functions

· Process bi-weekly payroll activities to include: calculating time sheets, entering hours into the payroll system, calculate garnishments, manual checks and retroactive pay totals.

· Processes payroll month end. Calculates wage, vacation and bonus accruals. Completes worker’s compensation and 401(k) journal vouchers. Maintains monthly group benefit spreadsheet for all insurance carriers.

·· Serve as an additional contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.

· Assists in the preparation of annual group benefit open enrollment and distribution of required employee notices.

· Complete newly eligible employee benefit enrollments. Enters new benefit enrollments on the various carrier’s websites. Terminate employees from benefits when necessary and keep track of credits for premiums. Provide training and support to staff related to group benefit matters. Help administer various employee benefit programs, such as health, HRA, dental, vision, accident, disability and life.

· Process monthly group benefit reconciliation and prepare vouchers for payment.

· Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

· Remains competent and current by reading professional journals and literature, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as appropriate.

· Contributes to the overall success of the Company by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned, maintaining a professional demeanor and appropriate levels of confidentiality, and providing excellent customer service.

· Reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Education and Experience

  • · Associate Degree Required.
  • Strong Paycom Experience
  • · PHR. Benefit or Payroll, Certified Preferred.
