Creative Change Counseling, Inc is seeking to employ a NJ Licensed Mental Health Outpatient Director(MHO Director) to monitor the overall quality and effectiveness of the agency's mental health program. The ideal candidate will ensure the proper review and assignment of clients for psychotherapy and treatment; promote the positive and stable mental health of clients through a program of individualized care from initial diagnosis through treatment and follow-up services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate and ensure that the highest level of ethical and professional standards are followed by all staff members. The ideal candidate must have considerable knowledge of psychotherapy and clinical psychology principle and practices; ability to diagnose problems of individuals relating to mental health and prescribe or provide counseling to stabilize or correct perceived problem. The ideal candidate must have experience in clinical psychology, mental health, social work or a closely related field.

The primary responsibility of the MHO Director is to:

• Provide supervision and consultation to all mental health clinical staff and is specifically responsible for the ongoing supervision and direction of mental health practitioners.
• Prepare activity reports to inform management of the status and implementation plans of program, services, and quality initiatives.
• Administer fiscal operations, such as planning budgets, authorizng expenditures and coordinating financial reporting.
• Ensure that each client has an individualized program of treatment which may include individual psychtherapy, family or marital therapy, group psychotherapy, or referral to other community agencies.
• Provide treatment to clients through a variety of modes which may include ongoing therapy, assisting the client in other community outreach programs or monitoring progress through self-treatment or participation in outreach programs.
• Assist the Executive Director in the development of agency policies and procedures which are relevant to clinical issues.
• Ensure that staff supervision notes, multidisciplinary staff notes and peer review notes are written and placed within the client's chart.
• Ensure that all intake and terminations are completed in a timely manner and maintains a schedule of clients for maintenance of records and case files
• Act as a public relations representative to the agency as requested, principally in discussion with other agencies or community groups as to the role of the program and the nature of the treatment program.
• Remain in contact with referral sources to provide follow-up information regarding each case in which there has been a release of information signed by the client.
• Complete assessments or evaluations requested by referral agencies
• Establish work schedules and the assignments of cases to therapist according to workload.
• Develop organizational policies and procedures and establishes evaluative or operational criteria for facility.
• Performs miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by management.
