Our Lexington, SC location is currently looking for a Facility Maintenance Mechanic to join the team! The Facility Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance/troubleshooting on equipment throughout the facility. We are searching for a safety-minded individual with a strong electrical/mechanical background with the ability to learn and grow with our team in Lexington, SC

Hours: 1st Shift 8am - 5pm

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times;
  • Responsible for daily directing and performing preventative and routine maintenance on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, compressors, vehicles, basic instrumentation, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and other equipment;
  • Diagnosing failures of vehicles and equipment, disassembling, repairing, and re-assembling parts as necessary.
  • Advises plant personnel on maintenance equipment-related concerns.
  • Is responsible for the daily scheduling and prioritization of Maintenance activities.
  • Provides leadership and direction, when required, to the other Maintenance Technicians while promoting a team-oriented work environment;
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
  • Previous experience in preventative maintenance and/or basic installations of one or more of the following: Electrical, Pipe fitting, Welding, Boilers, and Mechanics is required;
  • 1 - 2 plus years of plant or production experience is required;
  • Any electrical certifications are considered a strong asset (Journeyman Electrician);
  • Forklift operator certification or experience is an asset;
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean 3-year MVR are required;
  • Basic proficiency in electrical, pipe fitting, and mechanical knowledge preferred;
