FKC-Lake Shore, a Division of Frontier-Kemper Constructors, Inc., the premier supplier of innovative design-build hoisting systems throughout North and South America, is seeking Laborers for our Field Service Division.
FKC-Lake Shore Laborers are required to to perform installation, repair, and scheduled maintenance of customers’ equipment. Mostly pertaining to, but not limited to, Hoisting Systems and ancillary equipment. This position is 100% field based.
The essential functions of the position are:
- Operate general construction tools as needed
- Perform other general laborer tasks and maintain a clean work area
- Load, transport and unload materials, supplies and equipment
- Operate mobile equipment; such as forklifts and aerial lifts
- Installation of upgrades for improved functions on hoisting systems and related equipment
The successful candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- 1 to 2 years of stable work history in a Trade or construction-oriented environment
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and perform work layout, preferred
- Ability to work in confined spaces; such as an underground mine or in a mine shaft and from elevated surfaces (heights); such as platforms, baskets, and headframes
