An information technology (IT) specialist supports organizational technological systems including the computer, telephone, and video networks. An IT specialist is responsible for ensuring that staff members have the computing resources and equipment required to perform their jobs. This position requires that the job incumbent be passionate about the IT industry, accountable, organized and able to provide high quality IT services within a high-volume work environment.

IT Specialist Responsibilities Include:

• Maintaining and updating computer equipment and accessories
• Assisting employees with computer related issues (new computer setup, troubleshooting, password reset, etc.)
• Network oversight in terms of routers, switches, and general hardware
• Educating organizational employees about the appropriate use of electronic equipment
• Responding to after-hours IT needs in a timely manner
• Implementing IT security policies
• Inputting employee data into ADT security system for purposes of gaining building access
• Administrate O365 Account
• Maintain cloud-based VOIP phone system. (RingCentral)
