With a variety of projects still to come, our Curatorial department is growing and looking for a technically-savvy, detail-oriented, and creative Interior Architectural Design Associate. The ideal candidate must possess a solid understanding of interior architectural design and 2D/3D software.

This is a full-time position based in our West Los Angeles office. To allow for the most creative collaboration and team support, the Interior Design Associate should be prepared to work in-person at our West L.A. Headquarters Monday through Friday with potential work-from-home days available. What our Interior Design Associate will do:


Job Description
  • Develop 3D renderings from 2D architectural plans using Sketchup and AutoCAD under the direction of the Senior Designer and Project Directors
  • Support the preparation of architectural presentations and production drawings, as well as participate in design studies and evaluation of design proposals
  • Assist the Senior Designer and Project Directors in selecting materials, FF&E, construction, and fabrication methods as well as visiting showrooms and meeting with fabricators
  • Aid in the research and design concepts for architectural treatments, detailing, lighting, materials, and furnishings
  • Track and communicate project objectives and deadlines and coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and vendors
  • Collaborate with design team and effectively communicate design concepts in writing and presentation mode
  • Cultivate and preserve strong internal and external relationships, managing expectations and ensuring an appropriate level of communication at all times
  • Provide overall team support for all tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Skills & experience necessary for our Interior Design Associate will include, but are not limited to:


Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience in architectural and/or interior design and a professional degree in Interior Design or related field required
  • Advanced technical knowledge and usage of Sketchup, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Proficiency in Lumion, Revit, and the ability to learn other software platforms quickly
  • Possess general and broad knowledge of design requirements, construction methods, furnishings, and materials
  • Proven ability to research and report on project specifics as directed
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills able to monitor all phases of the project, including schedule, design fees, project budgets, and reimbursable costs
  • Access to reliable transportation and clean MVR record – background check will be conducted
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
