ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Interprets customer demand into instructions that allows manufacturing to successfully deliver the correct product on time by creating Oracle bill of materials (BOM’s) and routers.

• Works with manufacturing core teams to maintain and update existing BOM’s and routers based on Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Router Change Requests, Design Specifications, new equipment and processes, etc.

• Performs time studies to define setup and run times for processes and validate costs.

• Works closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure economical and efficient machines, methods, materials, and manpower are utilized and ensure BOM’s and routers are accurately defined.

• Identifies that proper tooling is available for new items/products. Creates and maintains master tooling lists.

• Defines and documents standard methods and procedures to create BOM’s and routers for each model of product. Improves methods and procedures as required to improve efficiency and accuracy. This includes creating automatic calculators for determining BOM’s (size, weight, material cost, etc.) and routers (labor cost, method, etc.).

• Works closely with cross-functional teams to automate the creation of Item Numbes, BOM’s, and Routers.

• Works closely with supervision, engineering, accounting, and management to develop and implement method improvements and cost reductions.

• Develop product cost estimates for quoting and establishes standard costs based on required material and labor; assists Accounting in establishing overhead rates as requested.

• Works with customer facing teams to support the timely flow of information in offering products, prices, and lead-times to the customer.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• B.S. Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.

• Must have excellent PC software (MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word) skills.

• VBA coding experience a plus.

• 1 year of relevant working experience preferred.

• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
