Health and Safety Specialist Job at Kodak
We are looking for a Health & Safety Specialist to support our manufacturing operations in Rochester, NY as part of our WW Health, Safety and Environment Team.

As a Health & Safety Specialist you will support chemical, toner and film manufacturing. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:
1. Industrial hygiene and safety consultations with manufacturing and research operations.
2. Oversight of numerous H&S programs including respiratory protection, hearing conservation, personal protective equipment, hazard communication, laser safety, ionizing radiation, Control of Hazardous Energy (LO/TO), electrical safety, machine guarding, fall protection, & confined space.
3. Coordination of the safety incident review process, review and analysis of data and identification of trends and improvement opportunities to prevent/reduce incidents.
4. Participation in Process Safety Reviews and job hazard analyses to identify/evaluate hazards and recommend controls.
5. Provide HSE training to employees
6. Conduct Health and Safety inspections to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and prevailing professional standards and practices
7. Provide technical guidance to management on a large variety of workplace Health and Safety issues

Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Chemical manufacturing equipment and processes
- Certified or in pursuit of certification as a Safety Professional (CSP)
- Able to organize and coordinate multiple requirements/ projects/ processes simultaneously
- Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional, and quality manner
- Able to analyze complex problems; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
- Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
- Excellent computer skills including Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables & formulas)
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
