Job Title: General Labor
Come be a part of our growing farm team! We have multiple farm locations spanning from Habersham County, GA to Macon County, NC.
Description:
This job will consist of mowing fence lines, maintaining the pastures, lawns, plants, and trees on Providence Farmstead's properties. Tasks will generally include edging, weed-eating, mowing, pruning/trimming, fertilizing and spraying weeds. Mowing fence lines on pastures, and occasionally helping the farming team with projects when needed. Our pastures are an important and integral part of our herd's home.
Pay:
Starting at $15 per hour
Hours:
5 to 6 days per week annually. 9 - 10 hours per day.
Starting at 7:30 AM, 30 min lunch break, working until 4 - 5 PM. Hours may vary depending on the projects or time of year.
Daily Tasks:
- Farm Mowing & Weed Eating involves using a zero turn or riding mower to mow large lawn areas and fence lines. Some weed eating of steep areas will be needed.
- Farm Help included moving hay bales from fields to barns.
- Cleaning equipment.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Smart phone access
- No smoking / vaping / tobacco use
Recommended skills:
- Comfortable with manual labor
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
- Know how to operate large area zero turn mowers
- Know how to prune shrubs, bushes, and trees
- Comfortable with chainsaw and pole saw
