This is a part time position (2-4 days a week) with some Saturdays. We are open Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm and Saturday 8:30am-3:00pm. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule. Pay will commensurate with experience.
MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT UP TO 50 POUNDS!
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- arrange real and artificial flowers
- fill custom orders for holidays or other special occasions
- make traditional corsages, boutonnieres, bouquets, wreaths, garlands and wedding decorations
- make traditional funeral easels, casket sprays and sympathy arrangements
- must be knowledgeable and have experience processing a wide range of foliage and flowers
- cut stems to proper length
- keep flowers watered and fresh
- discard wilting or dead arrangements
- consult customers about the care, maintenance and handling of flowers and foliage
- provide advice and suggestions for flower selection
- unpack flowers and prepare for storage
- deliver flowers to clients if necessary
