Pay Range: $80,000 - $135,000/yr
Position Summary
The Financial Operations Manager continually looks for ways to improve data collection, analysis and reporting to offer greater insights into company financial performance and future expectations.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties
FP&A
- Prepares consolidated forecasts and budgets, including Annual Budget, Midyear Forecast, Q4 Forecast and monthly rolling forecasts
- Analyzes trends in revenue, expense, capital expenditures and other related areas as well as impact on prior expected results
- Builds strong working relationships with Corporate and Divisional finance teams to ensure deadlines are met and work product as submitted is accurate and complete
- Prepares and analyzes reporting and KPIs related to past, current, and expected financial and business performance
- Evaluates actual results, forecasts and budgets for reasonableness and prepares variance and other analysis on balances as necessary, including detailed analysis on SG&A, Equipment, and Indirect Cost spend
- Assists with all company financial and business-related reporting as needed and cooperates with other departments in preparing analysis
- Maintains and coordinates group completion of financial presentations, including for Board and Executive Committee meetings and CFO and CEO presentations
- Develops report formats, templates and analytical models that assist in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting of operating metrics
- Works with functional and operational finance teams to accurately forecast and report expenses and recommends actions to maintain cost control
- Performs other duties and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
Compensation

- RONA calculations for operations & accounting true ups for corporate and HUB required and communication with controllers and operations.
- Annually
- Business Plan target updates
- BOD sign off
- Management of the incentive process from calculation to payment/JDE comp module – including new incentive targets & calculations
- LMS and G&O review
- Mid-year forecast and Q4 reforecast updates
- HR targets vs business plan reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in analysis, past experience in FP&A role preferred
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Creative problem solving ability.
- Ability to grasp facts, processes, procedures in a changing environment; quick learning
- Capability
- Strong computer skills and proficiency—Hyperion, JDE and Excel Retrieve capabilities preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint essential
- Familiarity with accounting practices and policy
- Construction industry experience beneficial Personal and Technical Work Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to successfully interact with all levels of company management
- Highly self-motivated and directed; proactive in nature
- Communicates a “can do” attitude and positive outlook, minimizing negative behaviors
- Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness and superior judgment
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Meet deadlines in tight timeframes while balancing multiple responsibilities
