Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap is the industry's largest firm specializing in real estate investment sales and financing, as well as a leading source of research and advisory services. As leaders in commercial brokerage, we are continuing to build our Investment Sales and under-writing team.
This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly), in-office position - not remote or work from home.
Our Financial Analyst role offers an opportunity to learn the fundamentals and principles of investment sales brokerage and financial analysis through hands-on training, transactional mentorship and constant coaching. The program has successfully transitioned many analysts into Marcus & Millichap's sales force who are now highly productive brokers with successful careers.
Through mentorship by a successful senior brokerage team, the Financial Analyst will complete analytical, research, marketing, and administrative tasks while gaining industry expertise in the following areas:
Responsibilities:
- Applying Marcus & Millichap's value proposition at all stages of the brokerage continuum
- Achieving fluency in Marcus & Millichap's proprietary software and industry programs
- Developing and building client databases and referral networks
- Provide financial and analytical support services for a brokerage team, which will include preparing proposals/opinions of value, data input, and underwriting property values
- Perform market research, both inside and outside of the office to evaluate real estate, analyzing comparable properties and sales trends
- Successfully communicating with clients, attorneys, lenders, and all other parties involved in a commercial real estate transaction and preparing financial analysis for presentation to clients
- Developing confidence in cold calling, networking, and building productive relationships
- Sharpening negotiation, strategy, and transactional management skill sets
- Preparing a personal financial plan, budget, and goals
