The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s financial planning and accounting practices. The Finance Manager manages account transactions, makes necessary transfers between the organization’s various bank accounts, recording all account transaction and properly reconciling these accounts on a monthly basis.
The Finance Manager is also responsible for supervising and guiding Payroll Coordinator, Staff Accountant & Finance Assistant. The Finance department handles all fair share billing, and pays out vendors on a timely basis.
Representative Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review client trust accounts on a monthly basis
- Monitor wire transfers among various clients’ trust accounts
- Monitor the sending of client’s payments via Remote Payment and Presentation Service (“RPPS”)
- Pay all accounts payable expenses on a timely basis
- Maintain operating accounts and trust accounts by entering all transactions
- Review with the President on a monthly basis all expenditures made against ACCC’s operating expense, and determine whether the expenditure was necessary
- Preparation of budget projections
- Perform vendor comparisons and report results
- Assist in the collection and preparation of documents for the annual audit by the external auditing firm.
- Work with the external auditor firm during the year on financial issues
- Invoice creditors for fair share
- Record all fair share payments made by creditor to ACCC
- Bill creditors for the proper fair share on a monthly basis
- Prepare information for creditors
- Report monthly numbers to management team
- Prepare and process payroll each week
- Maintain payroll system software
- Manage Finance Team
- Administer the 401(k) plan
- Other duties as needed.
Other Functions:
- Ensure that all department responsibilities are covered on a daily basis
- Monitor and make changes in staffing to keep up with demand for service
- Attend Managers meetings and disseminate appropriate information to staff
- Work closely with the Finance Assistant, making sure to keep him or her well-informed and educated in departmental/company changes
- Develop Goals and Objectives for the Finance Department on a yearly basis.
- Maintain Quality requirements, including: updated documentation, responding to preventative and corrective actions, reviewing negative feedback log, etc.
- Track and maintain personal and team statistics on a weekly / monthly basis
- Provide quarterly statistics to the departments and ACCC President
- Provide weekly status report to ACCC President
- Perform annual performance reviews in the appropriate timeframe
- Build team atmosphere and morale
- Other duties as needed
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education (minimum/ level required): College degree required in Accounting or related field
Experience (minimum/ level required): Three-Five years finance experience required; At least Three years of supervisory or management experience.
Working Conditions:
1. Physical Demands: Ability to regularly move around, use hands and arms to handle, feel, reach, as well as talk and hear. Occasional ability to lift and move up to ten pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
2. Mathematical Skills: Advanced mathematic and calculation skills to include ability to calculate discounts, interests, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
3. Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables, in standardized situations.
4. Work Environment: General office environment usually with moderate noise level
5. Equipment Used: Telephone and facility in using calculators. Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and basic email and Internet skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $69,720.22 - $90,000.00 per year
