Extended School Year Support Staff PostingTHIS IS A SUMMER POSITION. EMPLOYMENT IS SEASONAL AND TEMPORARYPROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Extended School Year (ESY) is a Special Education program for students with disabilities whose IEP Team has determined that, in order to minimize substantial regression and reduce substantial recoupment time, a student is required to attend ESY.Programming will run from June 26, 2022 - August 10, 2022. The week of July 4th there will be no ESY because of the July 4th holiday.Seeking Paraprofessionals and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Specialists for our ESY summer program.Under the supervision and direction of the special education teacher, the ABA Specialists will: - Provide direct support of students within an ABA-based program- Implement behavioral, social and academic programs per students' IEPs / ABA programs- Collect data; assist in creating graphs, data sheets, materials, visual supports, and activity schedules as neededUnder the supervision and direction of the special education teacher, the paraprofessionals will: - Provide direct support of students within academic based program- Facilitate skill practice and reinforcement in the written language, reading comprehension and math skills.Consultation and support will be provided by a special education teacher and/or related services providers as indicated in the childs IEP.Qualifications: - Qualified applicants with previous experience working with students with disabilities.
