General Description – Looking for a Expeditor to facilitate the flow of work and materials in our business. Streamline communication with suppliers/vendors to ensure timely delivery on all orders.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Expedite orders in accordance with production schedule.
Work closely with the production team to expedite any shortages.
Update unconfirmed PO’s Update past due PO’s Generate reports.
Update last promise dates in ERP Issue PO’s for consumable items.
Schedule quarterly meetings with suppliers to review on time delivery.
Arrange/confirm order delivery and sub-contractor schedules.
Support logistical procedures to facilitate order arrival.
Consults with Buyers on supplier material availability issues and advises Planning/Scheduling and Production on potential shipping delays.
Follow the Atlas Copco “Safety First” policy with the vision of zero work related accidents.
Take all necessary actions to employ sustainable processes to safeguard the company’s targets for Quality/Environment/Safety, Health and Energy/Resource Efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience – One to three years of relevant experience
Education – Two-year college degree in business or engineering and/or one to two years of experience as a buyer or expeditor.
Skills – Must be an independent self-starter with excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills and multi-tasking. Strong manufacturing background is a plus. Ability to read blueprints. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14000. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook/Word/Excel/Power BI. Demonstrated accurate, timely and effective purchasing skills as well as the ability to review, verify and process requisitions and purchase orders.
