To help us continue growing, we’re seeking an experienced Director of Operations to join a highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a dynamic setting. The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. The Director of Operations will interface and influence executives on strategies and long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for SARC/ACL.
Role and Responsibilities
As the Director of Operations at SARC/ACL, you will be responsible for key areas that drive significate impact for our overall business.
  • Software Tools Licensing Agreements: You will define, lead, and manage a portfolio of EDA tools and licenses for SARC/ACL. You will be collaborating with and influence engineering, procurement, finance, and EDA vendors to ensure we are executing to our strategies.
  • Budget Planning: You will develop, present and oversee budgets including capital and expenses – projections, multi-year forecasting; and gain buy-in from executive leadership at our headquarters.
  • Export Compliance and Security: You will lead the categorization of our products to ensure it adheres to export standards, verify documents, produce progress reports, and liaise with internal and external partners.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: You will be in charge of locating and maintaining key vendors, negotiating purchasing agreements and building partnerships to meet our demands and align with our goals.
  • Managing IT: You will be responsible for planning, designing, and directing all operational activities for SARC/ACL, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations and ensure our engineering teams compute cluster is running with high availability.
  • Facilities: Overseeing our facilities including maintenance to ensure we are creating an accommodating work environment for all SARC/ACL employees.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related; or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes
  • Business process oriented to drive documented and repeatable processes to enable, manage, and measure results
  • Influence and presentation skills – ability to influence partner groups and to develop/present strategic data to executives
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Proven experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously with a rigid determination to meet deadlines. Undaunted by challenges with a problem-solving positive attitude.
  • Experience in developing budgets and business plans
  • Strong data analytics capability
  • EDA license or software license management experience strongly preferred
  • Some programming knowledge preferred to recognize and drive efficiency
Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparisons to other employees in the role. However, compensation in the following regions is expected to be as follows:
Colorado: Compensation is expected to be between $214,916 and $333,119
NYC: Compensation is expected to be between $231,953 and $359,527
Washington State: Compensation is expected to be between $214,916 and $333,119
California: Compensation is expected to be between $231,953 and $359,527
Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more. In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.
