Job Purpose:
Under limited supervision of the Associate Deputy Director for Programming, the director of Integrated Services is responsible for administering and managing all re-entry, substance abuse, and gender responsive processes for this area.

Job Duties:
Oversees Re-Entry Program, Substance Abuse and Gender Responsive Services for youths, ensuring services are provided. Conducts Re-Entry Team meetings. Engages families and treatment providers in the process and hold meetings with families in person whenever feasible. Documents contacts and RTM meeting notes. Participates in exit RTM’s when appropriate. Spearheads transition activities and support case management function while locating services and connecting youth to the community. Educates youth of importance of identifying goals, link them to opportunities and resources on campus to aid in achieving goals. Adheres to the Integrated Treatment Model in terms of delivering treatment. Understands treatment assumptions and consultation team agreements and adhere to them.

Leads admissions/intake interviews, administer/interpret screening tools and assessments to determine risk, required level of care, treatment, supervision, and referral for necessary services. Ensures reporting and law enforcement, school, victim, and witnesses notification time frames are met as identified in SCDJJ policies and related statues; performs basic data entry and retrieval functions using an electronic management information system. Ensures new intakes receives Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) education sessions.

Coordinates transition to include tracking and supporting on-campus work experience programs such as completing applications, conducting youth interviews, working with the campus to create employment opportunities for youth. Tracks and supports off-campus activities such as organizing community service events, skills coaching on how to achieve campus occupation, working with youth and youth's support network in order to help them access resources in their respective communities.

Organizes tours of facility; speak on programs available to schools, community groups and to touring groups; serves as a member of committees and provide input. Networks and communicates effectively with a variety of diverse groups, organizations, and agencies, including juvenile justice and social service professionals, law enforcement, courts, schools, employers, and treatment providers.

Ensures new employees attends orientation, tracks staff attendance, availability, scheduling, training, and development. Coordinates client transportation. Serves as a member of a professional level multi-disciplinary treatment team by ensuring managers assess behavior, prioritizing treatment targets, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions based on cognitive/behavioral treatment principles; maintaining professional standards and neutrality in managing and providing treatment to youth with complex treatment needs and/or Para suicidal ideation/behavior. Serves as technical assistant and support resource to staff to achieve management and treatment goals for youth; facilitates SCDJJ core cognitive/behavioral skills curriculum and other approved treatment groups; analyzes a variety of situations and selects an appropriate course of action by applying sound judgment and professional standards.

Performs all other duties and tasks and required related to the mission of the agency.


Agency Requirements: A Bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
