Corporate Accountant Job at Loews Hotels & Co.
The Corporate Accountant will work directly with Accounting leadership to support daily accounting operations and general ledger administration. The position will play a key role in the month-end, quarterly and year-end close processes and work with Workday Financials.
In this role you will:
- Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations
- Prepare stock compensation plan accounting
- Maintain schedules and conduct analysis to support general ledger balances
- Reconcile, analyze and research accounts for accurate reporting
- Assist in the preparation of stand-alone benefit plan financial statements
- Participate in accounts payable administration by maintaining the vendor file and monitoring the AP invoice inbox as well as assist vendors’ and employees’ inquiries regarding invoice and payment status
- Assist with establishing department budgets and variance analyses
- Collaborate with a third-party payroll provider to process and validate payroll
- Assist with inquiries and requests for ad-hoc analyses/special projects related to Home Office as required
- Effectively ensure compliance with all internal controls
Educational requirements/professional experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 0-3 years accounting experience (public or private industry)
Additionally, candidates should have practical experience with a track record that demonstrates:
- Accountability for results in deadline-driven environment
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and organize efficiently
- Intellectual curiosity, creative problem-solving and critical thinking
- Success in team and cross-functional collaboration
- Proficiency in basic accounting concepts and calculations
- Strong computer and software application skills, including finance applications and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior use of Workday Financials a plus
Work Arrangement: This role is based at 667 Madison Avenue and allows for remote work within the tri-state area two days per week.
This is a full-time exempt role with a salary of $62k – $94k plus an annual bonus and full benefits package. Compensation offered within this range is determined by skills, experience, and organizational pay equity.
