Location: Aldie, VA
Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm
GENERAL DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Lead Cook supervises and directs activities of Dietary Staff to assure quality nutritional care and service to patients, staff and visitors, and assures regulatory compliance. The Lead Cook performs duties of a Cook such as planning and carrying out food production to prepare food served to IPU patients and in the dining room; ensuring that safe, sanitary standards of food preparation and service are followed; sharing in cleaning responsibilities and assisting in keeping a safe environment in the food service area.
Experience Requirements
Must have at least 5 years of food service experience with previous supervisory experience. Knowledge of principle preparation and sanitation procedures is required.
Education Requirements
Must be at least a high school diploma. Culinary training is preferred. Must have or be willing to obtain Certified Food Protection Manager Certification.
License
