The town of Shelby is seeking a full-time chief of police. Successful applicants will assist keeping the community crime and violence free and will be dedicated to protecting the safety of the people and keeping law and order in the community. The position involves organizing and directing the activities of the police department. The chief reports to and consults with the Mayor and Board of Aldermen in determining plans and policies for the department’s operations. Experience is desirable but not mandatory.
