Here is What You May Bring to the Position: *

High School Diploma, or equivalent
*
- Current Certified Veterinary Technician/Registered Veterinary Technician
- Emergency Veterinary Hospital experience preferred, not required
- Placing IV catheters, administering injections- IV, IM &/or SQ
- Knowledge of anesthesia protocols and radiography
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Animal restraint (radiography, ultrasounds, medication administration, etc.)
- Phlebotomy
- Basic knowledge and usage of laboratory equipment
- Enter and maintain computerized complete accurate medical records
- Avimark software knowledge preferred
- Assessment of patients- (routine/critical/trauma/triage)
- Detail orientated, motivated and compassionate
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
- Communication skills- both written and verbal
- Availability nights, weekends, holidays and overnight potential
- Professional, friendly and upbeat attitude
