Buyer, Packaging Job at Refresco North America
Procurement Buyer Packaging is responsible to manage printed packaging material category for the North American market
- Execute category sourcing roadmap(s) in coordination with internal stake holders and external vendor
- Evaluate and optimize supply base to ensure competitiveness to Refresco
- Negotiate and manage pricing for materials within assigned categories
Essential Functions
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all category influencers and become the business-wide category subject matter expert from both a technical and commercial perspective
- Assist in development of procurement strategies and plans for the category together with stakeholders that would provide the most value to Refresco and improve availability, quality, service, and innovation
- Obtain data from varied sources to identify and support fact-driven opportunities. Ensure analysis is accurate, comprehensive, and robust.
- Own RFx processes from creation to completion to generate and analyze multiple viable bids.
- Attend off-site supplier tours/visits as needed.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounts Payable
- Set-up and implement sourcing solutions under the supervision of the Procurement Director
- Manage vendor performance metrics, documents, and reporting as part of a Supplier Relationship Management plan within specified category.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all key suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Conduct market and risk analysis to drive category strategies
- Ability to react quickly when faced with unexpected market conditions
Qualifications:

- 2 Years – Experience in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or other related field

Working Conditions
- Based in Pointe Claire with less than 20% travel.
