Who is CBS Medical Billing? CBS Medical Billing and Consulting, LLC provides full-service practice management, medical billing and compliance services for healthcare practices. What you will be doing: This position is responsible for leading and planning the billing operations of the Company and oversees daily operations of the billing department to identify and track trends, streamline billing processes, and provide support to billing team members. This role is an upper-level management role and holds the responsibilities of management of the billing department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
1. Oversight of training, growth, and development for all billing department team members
2. Performance reviews for all billing department team members
3. Goal assignment, oversight, and guidance for all billing department team members
4. Corrective Action meetings with all billing department team members
Requirements: This is a full time forty (40) hour week position. You must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer screen for an eight (8) hour shift. You should have great communication skills, written and verbal as well as have proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, EMRs used in Therapy, Behavioral, and or DME among others.
Essential Duties:
1. Proficiency in all software programs utilized by all account(s)
2. Provides support to all billing department team members including troubleshooting IT issues, industry and procedural questions, client relations, and team member interactions
3. Attends client conference calls as needed
4. Attends billing team meetings as needed
5. Oversees training of all Billing Department team members
6. Performs Performance Reviews and Goal Assignments for lower-level management team members and assists in performance reviews and goal assignments for billing team members
7. Performs goal tracking and support to lower-level management team members
8. Performs Corrective Action meetings including verbal or written warnings and Performance Improvement Plans for lower-level management team members
9. Reviews monthly and quarterly reports looking for trends, training opportunities, and anomalies.
10. Oversee organization of weekly Biller Meetings
11. Attends weekly Billers’ Meetings
12. Address staffing needs including review of resumes, interviews, candidate selection and placement
13. Documentation of all work performed in multiple billing software programs
14. Attend Continuing Education trainings per Management’s request
15. Answer routine incoming phone calls
16. Understand and comply with all policies and procedures in the Company Handbook
Secondary Duties:
1. Insurance verification and authorizations
2. Review Claims
3. Initial, Secondary, and corrected claim submissions
4. Document preparation
5. Compliance Scrubs
6. Denials and Appeals
7. Audit Response
8. Posting Payments
