SUMMARY: The Cashier is responsible for the daily ticketing transactions for amusement park guests. The primary role of the position is to complete monetary transactions for ticketing and create great customer experiences by providing safe, clean venues, and friendly service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):
- Uses computerized equipment to complete sales of amusement park admission, Food & Beverage and/or other sales items.
- Provides on-site marketing and sale of amusement season passes.
- Maintains a cash drawer of at least $300 without variances.
- Establishes and retains knowledge about ride height requirements to ensure rider safety.
- Establishes and retains knowledge about General Park information in order to be first-line ambassadors of New Orleans City Park and its offerings.
- Upsells season passes and Friends of City Park memberships.
- Ensures work area is cleaned daily and stocked at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s, using units of American money.

Working weekends, some evenings, and holidays is mandatory. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
