ALARA logistics requires an Export Manager who is able to handle our company's international shipments and the management of daily operations of the Air Export department, requiring discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. The Export Manager will be responsible for creating customized shipping solutions, preparing international shipping documents, adhering to all customs regulations, and managing our staff of shipping specialists. A successful candidate will be highly organized and able to thoroughly engage with our customers in an effort to create new business opportunities. Manage staff development through active recruitment, training, and quality management activities. Provide proactive customer service for all clients handled by department. Perform all duties correctly, cost-efficiently, and within Company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide responsible supervision and control for all department activities
• Work with operations manager to establish long- and short-term business plans, objectives, and goals for department
• Organize and manage the export of products to foreign countries.
• Work with other departments such as legal, human resources, and marketing.
• Deal with issues regarding governmental regulations.
• Write reports on business conditions, market trends, and export practices.
• Review export documents ready for shipping.

Skills:

• Operational know-how
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Air Export product / environment (additional industry-related products/services are a plus)
• Comprehensive understanding of industry and trends
• Advanced competency in all aspects of business administration
• Dangerous goods experience a plus

• Industry experience: minimum 10 years preferred, 5 required
• Management experience: minimum 4 years preferred, 2 required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
