2023 1L Summer Associate Job at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP
Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP (BCLP) is partnering with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to strengthen the legal pipeline by creating opportunities for diverse 1L law students. We are seeking first year law students to join our 2023 Summer Associate Program and participate in the LCLD 1L Scholars Program. In addition to being a BCLP Summer Associate, this opportunity will include attending the LCLD Scholars Virtual Summit May 23-25, 2023. We are seeking exceptional and motivated candidates with strong writing and analytical skills who will have completed their first year of law school by the summer of 2023.
Our goal is to provide summer associates with a realistic perspective of what it is like to practice law. During our 10-week Summer Associate program, we will give you opportunities to work in a variety of practice areas and work with a diverse group of lawyers. Additionally, we offer training programs to strengthen and develop your legal skills. With the advice and guidance of attorneys who serve as assignment coordinators and mentors, Summer Associates are assigned substantive projects from lawyers across our various practices groups as well as our pro bono matters. There may be additional opportunities for our 1L Scholars to work in-house with a BCLP client for a portion of the summer.
We sponsor a variety of cultural, educational and purely recreational activities for our Summer Associates. Along with sightseeing, dining and entertainment, you will have ample opportunity to enjoy your co-workers’ company. For many of our Summer Associates, getting to know our people is the best part of their experience.
